Whether it's an annual Toys for Tots or Food Bank drive, a one-time relief effort in response to a natural disaster, or a chance to provide work experience to young adults who might not otherwise have such an opportunity, Vertrue takes community involvement very seriously.









Among the charitable and philanthropic activities that Vertrue sponsors and supports are the following:

  • United Way of Coastal Fairfield County's Community Fund, which addresses the needs of residents in 11 diverse communities in southwestern Connecticut. Vertrue's $10,000 donation supports United Way programs in the areas of early literacy and academic achievement, financial stability, affordable housing, and health promotion for all ages.

  • A discount pharmacy card program that offers needy families discounts on prescription drugs, eye care and more; over the last two years, Vertrue, in conjunction with participating United Way and, more recently, Feed The Children agencies across the country, has distributed over $15 million worth of discount pharmacy cards

  • The American Heart Association's annual Heart Walk, which raises funds for research into and greater public awareness of heart disease and stroke

  • Vertrue's summer internship program, which offers college and graduate students real-world exposure to the business world at competitive intern salaries

  • The Norwalk (CT) Mayor's Youth Summer Employment Program, which provides unique job opportunities for the city's youth

  • Canada's Big Bike Ride, which benefits Montreal Children's Hospital

  • Relief efforts for natural disasters such as Hurricane Katrina and the December 2004 tsunami that devastated southeast Asia

In addition to these larger efforts, Vertrue employees in all locations hold a variety of smaller events — health fairs, blood drives, career development seminars and more — that are intended to reach out to the local communities and provide support and encouragement for local residents.
